Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Reliable transportation to job sites
U.S. work authorization
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Willingness to undergo Hepatitis B vaccination (or provide waiver)
Ability to respond to emergency cleanup calls on short notice
Certifications & Training (Preferred or Required):
Certification in Crime Scene Cleanup, Trauma & Biohazard Remediation (ABRA, OSHA, IICRC, etc.)
Bloodbourne Pathogens Training (OSHA 29 CFR 1910, 1030)
HAZWOPER Certification (preferred but not required; can be obtained on the job)
PPE use and Respirator Fit Testing
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in biohazard remediation, crime scene, trauma, or environmental cleaning (preferred)
Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of biohazardous waste
Ability to follow strict safety protocols and documentation procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step instructions
High emotional resilience and professionalism in sensitive environments
Discretion and respect for client confidentiality and trauma related circumstances
Physical Demands:
Able to wear full PPE (including respirators, hazmat suits, gloves) for extended periods
Physically fit: able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, crawl, climb, and stand for long hours
Comfortable working in extreme conditions (odors, bodiliy fluids, hoarding situations, etc.)
Abilitiy to work in confined or high-risk environments (e.g., crime scenes, unattended deaths)
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call/emergency shifts
Must be able to travel to various locations, sometimes on short notice
